If you just need a rhyme in a pinch, this is probably one of your best bets. Another great feature is that it can be used for multiple languages from Spanish, French, Italian, and more. 

RhymeZone

For those who would like to have more than a rhyming dictionary, RhymeZone is a good choice. Not only can you find rhymes and near rhymes, but it has a great feature where you can find examples of the words in lyrics, poems, and other mentions online. This is great if you’re looking for alternate or slang uses of words. 

Dillfrog

This site has a ton of advanced options for searching for finding new rhymes and helping you come up with fresh ideas. You can search for songs by rhyme type (i.e. end rhymes, perfect rhymes, etc), find the definition of the word, see variations of how the word can be used in context, or just look up a list of words by categories.

Here is another easy, go-to resource for findings rhymes. Rhymer allows you to quickly find rhymes and be able to search by 5 different rhyme types. On top of that, they provide great tips on the different rhyme types and how you can use them. 

B-Rhymes

There are just those words you’ll never find the perfect rhyme, and B-Rhymes was made to help with just that. This site specializes in not just findings rhymes, but findings words that sound good together, even if they don’t perfectly rhyme.

They also use a scoring system to rate just how close the words and syllables (almost) rhyme. Definitely a great rhyming dictionary for helping you find unexpected and fresh rhymes.

WikiRhymer

What makes WikiRhymer so special, is that it’s a community-curated platform. You can search for rhymes by pure rhyme, end rhymes, near rhymes, and mosaic rhymes (rhymes made up of more than one word). You can also find common phrases and idioms that rhyme with the word as well.

This songwriting resource is different from the others in that it is a paid app you can use for either your iPhone or Mac. Rhyme Genie is well known among pro songwriters and musicians. With an extensive list of rhymes, over 30 rhyme types, American sayings, cliches, idioms. This is one of the best rhyming dictionaries you will find.

It even includes a list of hit song titles that include the word you’re searching for. This is an all-inclusive songwriting and rhyming app for songwriters. No wonder it was included in the gift bag for Grammy performers and presenters at the 53rd Grammy Awards.

Rhymer’s Block

When ideas strike, it’s important to be able to write them down before they disappear. Rhymer’s Block was built to not only allow you to do that but to continue to develop your ideas when you’re ready. What’s so great about this rhyming app is that it suggests rhymes and words in real-time as you write. You can keep the flow of your writing while having active suggestions for rhymes to jot down.

Once you’re done, it allows you to see your rhyme scheme by using a color-coded system to highlight the different rhymes. Then to top it all off, it saves all your ideas to the cloud, so you are able to recover them if needed.
