Our What

We are a ministry dedicated to inspiring, elevating, and empowering Christian songwriters, artists, & musicians to share the gospel with the world. We create faith-based, inspirational, educational, and promotional content and resources to help Christian songwriters share their music and message with the world. Our hope is to be a platform where Christian & Gospel songwriters, artists & musicians inspire, encourage, and uplift each other, and together push the gospel forward.

Our Why

As Christian songwriters, artists, & musicians, we tend to hide behind the gifts, talents and offerings we give to the world. We get excited to share the art God has put in us to create, but very rarely do we really share the heart of who we are and how we got here. But songwriting is more than just creating music, it’s about expressing your story, your testimony of Christ. It’s about connecting your story to the story of others. To give people words to the doubts, thoughts, hopes and fears they face everyday. To share with others how the hope that you’ve found . It’s a calling, a purpose, a commission to share the gospel, the “good news”.

That’s why we exist. Our mission is to inspire, elevate, & empower Christian songwriters, artists & musicians to share their music and message with the world. 

Our goal is to help you as a Christian and/or Gospel songwriter and artist find support, a platform, community, and discover resources to help find your voice, clarify your message, and build your audience.

Your story matters, no matter how big or small an impact you believe you can have, there is someone who’ll relate, someone who’ll be uplifted, someone who’ll be encouraged by your music.

About The Founder

Hey I’m Darnell Peters. I’m an independent Christian/Gospel songwriter, professional musician for over 15+ years, music marketing enthusiast, & certified content marketing specialist based in NY.

I started The Songwriter Gospel because I believe, your story matters and needs to be heard. I think every songwriter has a “gospel”, a message, that needs to be told for someone out there. However, we don’t always know how to tell it and get it out there.  So I made this as a way to help give a resource and a community to aspiring and emerging Christian and Gospel songwriters & artists.

I have a heart to help songwriters of all levels have a voice and a platform where they can impact their communities and the world through their songs. A place where they can be poured into and learn the fundamental skills to help them write, create and share their music, their story with the world.
